Worked to perfection...
About The Wine
Here is the first release of a premium reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Remi Guise.
During his time working with Bruce Dukes at Domaine Naturaliste, Remi has gotten plenty of experience crafting top end, cellar-worthy Cabernet. His own entrant into the upper echelon of the region is wildly successful. It's slinky, packed with dark berry fruit and a wall of epic, moreish tannin, yet it remains supple and easily approachable in its youth also.
The nose is a seductive blend of violets, gum leaves and sweet currants - it's classic Margaret River from a rising young gun. With 97 points from James Halliday, it's a very serious debut.
Remi Guise is starting something very compelling in Western Australia.
His idea for tripe.Iscariot centres around the thesis that from 'berry to stalk' the whole of the plant should be used in the winemaking process.
No waste, no 'cleaning up' of the wines. Driving to make the most character filled and unique wines that any site can produce.
The wines are fascinating and complex alt-stylings of undervalued Margaret River varieties.
Dig in, this is a project to keep a close eye on.
