2024 Usher Tinkler Wines Big Bad Bill Semillon
We absolutely love what Usher Tinkler is doing right now. His wines are a genuine breath of fresh air in the Hunter Valley, and the 'Big Bad Bill' Semillon is a perfect example of why.
Named in honour of his father, Bill - a local legend with over 50 harvests under his belt - this is sourced from a tiny 1.4-hectare block of vines Bill planted himself back in 1980. Grown on classic Hunter red terracotta clay, the site naturally delivers serious fruit concentration and purity.
The winemaking here is clean and completely unadorned to let that old-vine fruit shine. It is hand-picked, destemmed, and whole-berry pressed straight to stainless steel for a cool fermentation. It sees zero oak and no malolactic fermentation. Just pure, precise Semillon.
In the glass, it is bright, zesty, and highly refreshing. You get a core of lime citrus and a faint tropical note, all pulled tightly together by a driving mineral edge. It is dangerously drinkable right now, but like all top-tier Hunter Semillon, it has the structure to easily cruise in the cellar for 20 years if you want to see it evolve.

"A fabulous example of single-site, old-vine semillon and a simply delicious glass of wine."

2025 ChaLou Riesling
ChaLou has quickly become one of the most exciting names out of Orange, and Riesling is right at the heart of what they do well. Nadja Wallington and Steve Mobbs have nailed the high-altitude Riesling style, and while most Aussie examples are bone-dry, their off-dry signature is one of the most reliable in the country.
The 2025 season delivered excellent ripeness and power. It’s wild-fermented and stopped early to leave a touch of residual sugar, which isn't about sweetness so much as texture - it perfectly buffers the region’s naturally racy acidity.
It’s highly aromatic, jumping with mandarin, orange blossom, and jasmine. The palate is vibrant and plush, transitioning into a clean, dry finish. This is exactly what you want with spicy Thai or a lime-heavy larb. It's drinking beautifully now but has the bones to go for a decade.

"Lotus flowers, lime skin and pineapple guava. There is a quartz and pumice-stone edge and a quivering tension between fruit nectar and vibrating acidity... Outstanding value; if there is any left, scoop it up."
- Shanteh Wale (Halliday Wine Companion)
2025 Mulline Pinot Gris
Pinot Gris (or Grigio) has come a long way in Australia. From humble beginnings in southern Victoria, it was the first 'alternative' variety to officially graduate the AAVWS and be seen as a mainstream variety.
It's easy to see why when you look at the Mulline Pinot Gris. This is definitely more Gris than Grigio, with lifted florals, ripe stone fruits and a bit of spice coming through.
The wine also saw a small amount of skin contact to provide colour and texture, which rounds out the rich palate and makes this incredibly more-ish.

"Beautifully poised with its aromas of redcurrant, nectarine, pear and blood orange. Even better on the palate, where the flavours and texture are perfectly balanced by subtle time-on-skins tannins, before finishing orange-pithy and long. Should age nicely, too. Excellent."
- Philip Rich (Halliday Wine Companion)
2025 Sherrah Fiano
Alex Sherrah is one of the the kings of "bang for buck" in McLaren Vale, and his Fiano is the perfect evidence. It’s a bit of a rarity in the region - one of the few whites that consistently hovers around the 95-point mark while staying under $35 a bottle.
The 2025 release is all about that smart blending of two distinct sites. You’ve got fruit from the coastal Tatachilla sands bringing a punchy sea-spray crunch, while the older limestone soils of Seaview add a bit of internal muscle and depth.
Half the fruit goes into tank for freshness, the other half into old oak for a bit of leesy "chew". It’s lifted and zesty with lemon peel, white flowers, and a distinct salty edge. It moves with great drive and has a moreish, textured finish that punches way above its price tag. If you’re looking for a great all-rounder white that doesn't overthink it, this is a total winner.

"This is a fine follow-up to the excellent 2024, a wine of intense flavour, quiet detail, texture, freshness and engaging drinkability. It’s undemanding in a way, but that’s the charm – calm, confident making, everything in harmony. Golden and red apples, lime pith, sea spray, a little oyster shell, the palate subtly chewy, pithy and resolutely refreshing."
- Marcus Ellis (Halliday Wine Companion)
2025 Mercer Wines Bianco Vermentino
Aaron Mercer’s 2025 Bianco Vermentino is an easy-drinking nod to the future of sustainable grape-growing. Vermentino thrives in warm, dry climates like the Hunter Valley, and this wine makes the most of its natural resilience. With fruit sourced from the Roxburgh Vineyard in the Upper Hunter, it’s all about simplicity done well.
Bright and zippy, it’s bursting with tangy citrus and a subtle saline edge that keeps things lively. There’s a touch of texture and plenty of refreshing crunch, making it a great companion for sunny afternoons and laid-back meals.
Perfect with fresh seafood or just a handful of salty snacks, this is the kind of white that’s made for the esky and your next casual get-together. At this price, it’s as easy on the wallet as it is on the palate.
2025 Patrick Sullivan Chardonnay
Patrick Sullivan is a name synonymous with exceptional Australian Chardonnay.
Here's a top-value way to sample his sensational stylings with this variety, with this very reasonably-priced entry-level Pat Sullivan wine!
This celebrates the volcanic soils of Southern Australia with a wine that strikes a lovely balance between richness, well-defined fruit, and distinctive soil-derived minerality.
The vineyards are nestled along Australia's unique limestone coast. This region is the world's third-largest volcanic plain, harbouring approximately 400 dormant volcanoes. Who knew?!
Pat's deep-rooted connection to this area, where he spent much of his childhood, fills him with tremendous enthusiasm as he offers this great modern representation of Australian Chardonnay.
"My best Limestone Coast Chardonnay yet - perfectly poised with Goldilocks balance and mineral detail."
- Patrick Sullivan (Owner/Winemaker)

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
