About The Wine
The pioneering Trossens of the Mosel release fascinating Rieslings, with an holistic philosophy to farming and winemaking, and a zero additions approach. These are the most natural rieslings you can drink, yet they retain a delicious purity of fruit.
This is a crunchy, textural slightly off-dry Riesling that carries about 20 grams of residual sugar, a Feinherb style of wine.
About Rudolf Trossen
Rita and Rudolf Trossen are true natural wine pioneers, converting to biodynamics way back in 1978, and then, from 2010, starting to produce fabulously interesting Rieslings entirely without additives, including zero sulphur. An absolutely ground-breaking couple.
Long lees aging adds depth of flavour and super texture to all their idiosyncratic wines.
The Trossen vineyards, around the village of Kinheim-Kindel in the heart of the Mosel valley, are full of blue slate, and many are extremely old, and wonderfully phylloxera-resistant.
