Slowly but surely, the Two Tonne Tasmania range is expanding.
This suite of releases know as Ziggurat are designed to be, "adventurous in winemaking style, creative and unique each year, but above all, they are fresh and textural."
The 2017 white is comprised of mostly Riesling which was fermented in barrel and in tank, and a dash of Gewürztraminer which was fermented on skins for a week.
It's a lifted, aromatic, white designed to be food-friendly or a delicious aperitif. The perfect all-rounder for the warmer months.
About Two Tonne Tasmania
Two Tonne Tasmania is the brainchild of Ricky Evens.
With the slogan ‘small parcels, big love’, Ricky’s approach is all about growing pristine, healthy fruit, harvesting at the right time, and then having to do as little as possible in the winery thereafter.
Since his serendipitous entry into the much sort after sub-region of the Tamar Valley in 2013, his first few releases have made quite a few waves.
Pinot Noir is Ricky’s game, and he plays hardball. And his Rieslings and Chardonnays are excellent regional examples which showcase the purity and elegance of modern Tasmanian wine.
