About the Wine
The Tolpuddle Pinot Noir hails from one of the most talked about vineyards in Tasmania.
It has some of the country's keenest wine-minds as its custodians, including Michael Hill Smith MW and Martin Shaw, young winemaking guru Adam Wadewitz and Ray Guerin, one of Australia's most respected viticulturists. With an all-star team and a plot of dirt this good, this is rapidly becoming one of Tasmania's most talked about and iconic Pinot Noirs.
From the dream 2017 vintage and with another year of vin age and winemaking know-how on this great site, this looks to be the finest release of Tolpuddle Pinot Noir yet. Nick Stock called it "something special", and if you're a true Pinot lover then this wine simply demands a place in your cellar.
About Tolpuddle
On an expedition to Tasmania in 2011, Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW purchased a stunning vineyard in the Coal River Valley which they thought had the potential to make some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the region.
Tolpuddle is now one of Tasmania’s most talked about vineyards, producing wines of blistering precision and finesse which have received rave critical acclaim. They are highly sought-after and are some of the finest examples of these varieties that can be found anywhere on the Apple Isle. These are premium wines that should be savoured.
