About The Wine
The alt-stylings of Sally and Tom at Bobar wines make for unique expressions of the Yarra Valley.
Their wines are made naturally, inert vessels used in maturing, the wines are free to take on their own personality and offer something 'out-of-the-box' to the drinker.
Such is the case with the Bobar Chardonnay. This has a slight twang of oxidisation which adds fino-like complexity and a nuttiness to the lively expression of Chardonnay fruit.
It's a different proposition to most of the Yarra but does offer supreme drinkability and a point of interest for those who want to explore new fascets of Chardonnay from this famous region.
