About The Wine
You can't spend more time, effort and energy in making a great wine than this, and the result is a stunning, ageworthy, powerful, delicate wine from the heart of Tuscany.
The famous Case Basse estate can be found in the Brunello subzone of Tavernelle, to the southwest of Montalcino. Up until 2006 this wine was actually labelled Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, after which founder Gianfranco Soldera decided to leave the rules of the Consorzio behind, and to proudly use Toscana Sangiovese IGT on the label.
After four years maturation in Slavonian oak, the 2016 release, from an all-time great vintage, is a magical drinking experience.
