Such a great drink.
About The Wine
The Reflexion wines of Mount Mary aren't made every year. On occasion it's a label that houses declassified fruit, however here it stands as a home for an interesting stand alone wine from the 2017 vintage.
This Cabernet Franc is from younger vines as part of the rootstock replanting project underway at Mount Mary. The fruit was earmarked for Quintet but winemaker Sam Middleton felt it didn't quite fit and he liked it just on its own.
There's a splash of Merlot in the final blend for a little more flesh, but what you get in the end is an extrodinarily aromatic, vibrant example of Franc which is appealing from the get go. Drink this while you wait for Quintet to mature, would be our suggestion.
