A long time coming is the wine to complete the trio of hair colour series Shiraz wines... Only bottled when Mother Nature permits the length of flavour (the one thing I cannot create).

About the Wine
This is Alex Head's flagship Shiraz.
The 2016 is the first release of Redhead since 2012. Alex says the 2016 vintage is the most exciting he's seen since that 2012 vintage, a big call but the quality of the wines speak for themselves.
This wine comes from only three rows on a vineyard planted near Angaston in the Eden Valley.
It's a showstopping wine. Ripped with tannin and muscle. Fruit belting the song of the region in a rumbling baritone voice.
It's a wine built for the cellar and will reward the patient handsomely in time. Top class Shiraz from this top class producer.
About Head Wines
Alex Head has had what you might call a meteoric rise through the Australian wine industry. In his short career as a producer he has been heralded as one of the best Young Gun Winemakers, not only in the Barossa but the whole country. With no formal training as a winemaker, the purity and balance inherent in the wines are amazing.
Alex has a passion for the old vineyards that populate the Barossa. With a keen eye for a good site, Alex has put together a formidable portfolio of vineyards which produce simply outstanding renditions of Shiraz and Grenache year-in, year-out. These are some of the most exciting wines in the Barossa.
