About The Wine
The Curly Flat Chardonnay is a staple for those who want premium Chardonnay with a more 'classic' Australian styling.
It's not shy or reserved, it's a full-bodied Chardonnay proudly on display.
The wine spends 18 months in French oak on lees, building layers of creamy, toasty complexity through the pristine Chardonnay fruit grown on the Curly Flat vineyard.
It's a Chardonnay that drinks beautifully from day one but can develop well for up to a decade in the cellar.
If you're looking for Chardonnay with some style and curves, Curly Flat will be right up up your alley.
About Curly Flat
Curly Flat is one of the most iconic producers in the Macedon Ranges.
Established in 1991 by Phillip Moraghan & Jeni Kolkka, the vineyard was planted to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Over their prestigious history, the name Curly Flat has become synonymous with quality.
These wines have become cornerstones of many Australian cellars. The Pinot Noir is polished and powerful, the Chardonnay curvaceous and decadent.
It's an old school but good school operation. With winemaker Matt Harrop now at the winemaking helm, Curly Flat is entering an exciting new phase in its history.
