About The Wine
This is the wine that perhaps best represents the Cavallotto family. It distills the essence of their Bricco Boschis cru into a singluar Barolo that speaks of site and gentle handling.
This cuveé is well known for being a traditionalists dream. This is the essence of Barolo, an imperious wine of stature and structure that will fully reveal itself over the coming decades.
This is a special wine, one that only makes it to Australia in small quantities. If you love your Nebbiolo, firm, proud and cellar-worthy, this deserves a place in your collection.
About Cavallotto
The Cavallotto family have owned and farmed the legendary Bricco Boschis cru since 1929.
Passed down for four generations, this small grower is considered one of the hidden gems of Piemonte and something of a benchmark for the Castiglione Falletto commune. Their wines are built in a staunchly traditional framework. These are classic Piemontese wines that show authority and structure, one for the true lovers of the classics.
In the words of Antonio Galloni, "Cavallotto may very well be the greatest Barolo producer few people have ever heard of, something that continues to mystify me."
