Good gear in a fuller figured red world.

About The Wine
The Le Marcone vineyard is a West-facing site that produces powerful full-bodied reds with great density and richness.
Here, winemaker Vanni Nizzoli brings a delicious blend of Cabernet and Marzemino to bare. It has been bottled without fining, filtration, or adjustments of any kind.
In this Cabernet you can see the rugged beauty of Vanni's home. It has a distinct savouriness, accents of wild herbs and fresh-tilled earth, framed by moreish tannin that will see the wine casually unfurl in bottle over the medium term. A 'pop' of lively red fruit Marzemino’s comes from the Marzemino.
It's a mile from Bordeaux, and brilliant for it.
About Cinque Campi
Cinque Campi translates to Five Fields in English.
This collection of vineyards in the foothills of the Reggiano Appennine Mountains has been farmed by Vanni Nizzoli’s family, unbroken, for over 200 years.
For the centuries before, the grapes were farmed organically just for the family's consumption, until they began their first commercial releases in 1980. In 2003, the vineyards became certified organic, enabling the reintroduction of local varieties for the family to truly represent the traditions of their home.
These are the right grapes grown i the right place by a family with a deep connection with the land. Raw, wild and untamed, the wines of Cinque Campi are as authentic as you will see anywhere on the planet.
