About The Wine

Adam Foster loves Heathcote. He loves the ancient soils, the climate, the fruit that grows in the area.

That's why each year he selects a different parcel of fruit to make the Syrahmi Syrah. This comes from the Geenstone vineyard. The 'Last Dance' was Adam's last crack at the fruit from this site.

Since then, however, a new relationship with Greenstone has been struck so plenty more should lie in store for Adam and this site. It's a brilliant Syrah, fit for 94 points from Mike Bennie.

A great Heathcote vintage, 100% whole bunch, some extra time in oak and Adam Foster steering the ship, and you've got one serious idiosyncratic Shiraz.

Adam Foster loves Heathcote.

He loves the ancient soils, the climate, the fruit that grows in the area. This is his personal label that focuses on individual parcels of fruit from some of the most idiosyncratic vineyards in the region.

Adam has planted a small vineyard on a granite-riddled outcrop in Tooboorac which has enormous potential.

His wines are old-world inspired, powerful and intense. A producer to watch for the future, no doubt about it.

The length is super long and very fine. 100% wholebunch used. No pumping or plunging at all during ferment. Wild yeast ferment and malolatic fermentation Extended time 52 days on skins before pressing (YES 52 days! no pressings added to this wine, only free run used)

Aged in used 2800L Foudre 100% French for 17 months Wine is left on lees without racking then bottled unfined & unfiltered with min. SO2
