Jamsheed is kicking goals left, right and centre, and owner/winemaker Gary Mills' 'Harem Series' wines are just plain fun to drink. None more so than 'Le Blanc Plonk' - a unique little Riesling that is as quirky as it is refreshing. Each year this wine seems to improve and become more and more 'serious', and the '16 is a ripper. The fruit comes from a vineyard in Mansfield, it is barrel-fermented, left on its lees for 8 months and then bottled unfined and unfiltered. Not your standard free-run Rizza! The resulting wine is extremely aromatic, quite textural in the palate and then finishes fresh as a daisy. It's interesting but also just immediately enjoyable, and is top value. Giddy up!

What it Tastes Like

Lemons, limes and bright tropical aromas jump out of the glass. The palate is lively and zippy no doubt, but has a lovely mouthfeel and texture at the same time. A subtle nutty toasty edge adds interest to the bright fruit flavours, with citrusy acidity cleansing and lingering. So refreshing, so unique, so delicious!
