- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
The Sanskrit Chenin Blanc originates from a single block in the Clare Valley. It was here that winemaker Nav Singh found the fruit with the drive and intensity to make his small batch Chenin. It's tightly coiled but layered with complexity. Fermented naturally in barrel with 6 months on lees, this takes Chenin into the domain of fine wine. A wine of purity and intensity, this is Chenin Blanc in full flight.
What it Tastes Like
Wafts of lanolin, lemon blossom and honeysuckle. The palate shows a complex fruit basket with bananas, fig, apples and a hint of vanilla bean. It's lusciously textured and yet defined by tight, minerally acidty that slices its way through the mouth. Serious Chenin.

About the Producer
Indian-born winemaker Nav Singh brings a holistic philosophy to his small but elite Tasmanian operation. He makes ultra-small batches of premium wines from vineyards farmed sustainably in the Derwent Valley. He comes at winemaking with a natural bent, the wines produced with a view towards biodynamics. These are wonderful, idiosyncratic wines that offer a different view of Tasmania.
The Clare Valley knows what it does, and does it very, very well. Riesling and Shiraz are the rockstars of the region and with some of the most famous wines in the county coming from this small pocket of SA, the Clare’s reputation for quality only grows year on year.
