A clever and intriguing, wonderful drink.

About The Wine
This early drinking light bodied red combines two of Cobaw Ridge's pet red varieties: Syrah and Lagrein.
It's picked insanely early, rocking it at just around 11% alcohol but it drives home freshness and energy and sheer drinking pleasure.
It's spicy and red fruited, dailled in with a jolt of nervy acidity. It's a Syrah blend for Pinot Noir lovers, or something like that.
On your list of "Red Wines to Drink This Summer", the L'Altra should absolutely have a spot.
About Cobaw Ridge
Cobaw Ridge was established in 1985 by Alan and Nelly Cooper in the Macedon Ranges.
This estate is the only certified organic and biodynamic producer in the region. Alan firmly believes that great wines are made in the vineyard. The vines come first at Cobaw Ridge. They grow excellent examples of Syrah, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and Australia's most sought-after example of Lagrein.
Over the years Alan's winemaking approach has become more and more minimalist. With sulphur now the only addition in the winery and Alan using more inert vessels such as Qvevri, the Cobaw Ridge Wines have never looked better.
