2024 Konpira Maru Mt Midoriyama Total Victory Pet Nat
The Pet Nat flood continues!
This latest offering from Alastair and Sam at Konpira Maru is fantastic and a freight-train of fun to drink.
This release features two varieties from the Chalmers vineyard in Heathcote combining here in a classic (*ahem) blend of 80% Sagrantino and 20% Vermentino. There are only really two rules when you make Pet Nat: make it fizzy and make it delightful to drink. The boys have nailed it on both accounts.
It's not a profoundly complex wine but it will absolutely get you coming back for more.
2023 BK Wines Petillant Naturel Chardonnay
Brendan Keys isn't afraid to do things differently, and this Pet-Nat made from 100% Basket Range Chardonnay fruit, wild yeasts and 100% concrete-egg fermentation is certainly different!
Pet-Nats are perfect for unabashed drinking on a warm afternoon, and this one goes down particularly easy.
Don't be deceived by its cloudy exterior, this is bright, flavour-packed and fun to drink whether, in BK's words, "be it for a mid-morning brunch, a barbecue at dusk or a digestif at o’ dark thirty."
2023 Wildman Astro Bunny Pet-Nat
The Astro Bunny is a playful Pet-Nat by the hands of Tim Wildman, MW.
This is an all sorts blend of Arneis, Nero d'Avola and Fiano, from various vineyards across Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale.
Tim is emphatic that wine should fall into one of two categories: fun or fine. This wine sits firmly in the former category.
Astro Bunny is fun and fizzy, a little funky and positively loaded with personality. It's a spritzy wine that will charm any fan of this hugely popular wine style.
2023 Sassafras Gamburra White Ancestral Sparkling
Few producers pushing the Pet-Nat envelope as far as Paul Starr at Sassafras in the Canberra district.
He never sits still, constantly refining his take on the ancient sparkling technique. And the results are seriously impressive.
This Sassafras release is one of his best to date.
Hands down one of the leading producers in this wine style for Australia - if you'd like to try some 'serious' Pet-Nat, then the offerings from Sassafras are an excellent place to kick off.
2023 Mercer Wines PF Fizz
This is a soft and delicate Sparkling offering from Aaron Mercer, made from Chardonnay with no preservatives whatsoever.
Filled with flavours of green tree fruits, lemons and lightly toasty nutty elements, it's a well-balanced wine fit for any occasion.
As always from the Mercer range, it's great value, great quality drinking 101.
2023 Gilbert Pet Nat Riesling
Will Gilbert continues his exploration of Petillant Naturel here with a fresh bottling of naturally fermenting Riesling from Orange.
He's got a great eye for the style.
This is zippy and zingy, loaded with juicy citrus flavours and delightfully cloudy to boot.
If you are loving the wave of delicious Pet Nats exploding across Australia, then Will's should definitely be on your hit list.

Ordering
We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.
