Brad Hickey was one of the first to push boundaries and challenge perceptions of what wine could look like in McLaren Vale.
His use of terracotta amphora, wild ferments, and left-of-centre varieties made his wines stand out from the pack from day one. No doubt inspiring plenty of the new colour we see in the region today.
