NV Sami-Odi Little Wine #15
The Sami-Odi 'Little Wine' has developed quite the cult following over the years.
It's a unique wine, being comprised of fruit from multiple vintages, with the older vintage portions adding depth and weight, the younger contributing lift and fruit vibrancy. Some parcels are picked early for acidity and drive, some picked much later providing that definitive Barossa richness.
It's an intricately constructed wine, winemaker Fraser McKinley blending multiple barrels to find just the right amount of light and shade.
The finished wine shows so much perfume, so much flavour and so much life - it's a beauty and a completely unique look at the Barossa Valley. The 'Little Wine' has become one of those innovative Australian wines you just need in your cellar.

"I adore the sense of detail in the Sami-Odi wines. It's like bonsai winemaking; Fraser's mastery of blending and eye for both the beauty of an assemblage and the aesthetic appeal of the packaged wine never fails to astound me. Sourced from five plots within the Hoffmann family's Dallwitz vineyard (the oldest vines planted prior to 1912) and an un-vintaged composition of casks. Bright magenta-splashed crimson with a flair of ripe satsuma plum, blueberry, boysenberry and blackberry fruits. Layers of exotic spice, olive tapenade, raspberry pip, pastis, cherry conserve, subtle wood spice and dried citrus blossom. Superb depth of fruit, silty-fine kinetic tannins and a seam of fine, minerally acidity; it's in the finest of form. Skateboarding geeks will get a kick out of the label, a rendition of Christian Hosoi's first pro-model deck from a sketch by his father, Pops Hosoi. Again ... detail."

"Amazing, purple black colour – vibrant as. A kind of jellied, glossy, riper fruit profile, blackcurrant lozenge, boysenberry compote, forest berry coulis on song. Some new leather inklings, cinnamon and clove spice, sweet, turned earth, sage leaf, bay leaf, peppery notes and a touch of game meat and graphite for x-factor. A rub of gravelly, slender tannin lending shape and texture too. Inky, persistent, inwardly concentrated. Fraser says ‘business as usual kind of feel to the wine’, which is fair, and also modesty as he references ‘classic Barossa styles’, this with more shape, tension, dimension, minerality. Just damn excellent, and to its own."

2024 Standish Wine Co The Lamella Shiraz
Dan Standish has always done things his own way, but what he pulls off with Lamella from the ancient Stonegarden Vineyard in Eden Valley is always special. The high-altitude site gives this a completely different framework to his valley-floor gear - there’s a distinct levity and cooler poise here. He goes all-in with 100% whole-bunch fermentation, using the stalks to build a gravelly, highly structural wine that you feel just as much as you taste.
The compressed 2024 season has turned out an incredibly compact, tense, ink-stained core. The perfume hits you immediately, shifting between dark florals, game meat, black pepper and a heavy lick of liquid graphite.
It is remarkably long and succulent on the finish, lashing flavours of mulberry, rich cherry and bramble against a serious wall of ferrous, mouth-coating tannins. There's a subtle Italianate herbal edge alongside licorice and fennel that really takes this out of standard Barossa territory. It's a stellar release of cool-climate Shiraz that shows exactly why this is one of the most sought-after Shiraz in the country.

2022 Koomilya JC Block Shiraz
The 2022 JC Block has just been crowned Best Shiraz in Australia by the Halliday Wine Companion, and honestly, it’s not hard to see why. This is one of the standout blocks at Koomilya, planted back in the early 70s and still giving fruit with incredible depth and character.
The season was a cool, slow one thanks to La Niña, and that extra hang time really shows in the wine. The tannins are fine and detailed, the fruit is dark and pure, and there’s that trademark ironstone, mineral edge that always seems to come out of this part of Upper Tintara. It’s structured and serious, but it still feels fresh and balanced rather than heavy.
Stephen Pannell doesn’t mess around with it either. Whole berries, wild ferment, long time on skins, big old oak – it’s all about letting the vineyard do the talking. The result is a Shiraz with layers of blackberry, plum and spice, backed by that ironstone, almost bloody mineral note that screams Upper Tintara. The tannins are beautifully fine but firm, giving it structure without ever feeling heavy.
Only a small amount of JC Block is made each year, and with the trophy now under its belt, it won’t stick around for long.

2023 Yarra Yering Underhill Shiraz
Underhill is the more extroverted sibling in the Yarra Yering Shiraz family - generous, expressive and disarmingly drinkable from day one.
Sourced from a single block planted by Dr. Bailey Carrodus in 1973, this eight-acre patch at the western edge of the estate delivers Shiraz with muscle and charm in equal measure. Where Dry Red No. 2 broods, Underhill beams - showing plush dark fruits, cracked pepper, lavender and a whiff of smoked meats, all wrapped up in a supple, silken frame.
Winemaker Sarah Crowe gives this wine a mix of whole bunch and whole berry ferments, time in both large format oak and seasoned puncheons, and a deft handling of tannin that keeps everything in check without dampening the wine’s natural swagger.
Delicious now, especially with a decant, but will cruise gracefully through the next 10–15 years if you can hold off. A benchmark cool-climate Shiraz, straight from one of Australia’s greatest sites.

2024 Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier
Clonakilla’s Shiraz Viognier is the wine that proved Australia could do cool-climate elegance just as well as the Northern Rhône, and the 2024 vintage is one of the best in its history.
It was a heartbreaking start to the season with October frosts wiping out a huge chunk of the crop, but the fruit that survived benefited from a glorious, warm autumn. The result is a wine at the "high-water mark" for the estate - ripe and powerful, yet incredibly precise.
The perfume on this release is the thing that gets you. You get an aromatic explosion of orange blossom, rose petals, and raspberry mixed with more savoury hits of cracked pepper and sandalwood. On the palate, it’s remarkably layered; there’s a core of cherry and plum fruit, but it’s the non-fruit stuff - the notes of soy, smoked meats, and graphite - that make it so complex.
Even with its underlying power, the wine remains lithe and medium-bodied with the hallmark silky tannins that have made Tim Kirk’s flagship a legend. It’s already showing great drinkability, but given its immaculate balance and concentration, it will easily strut its stuff for the next two decades. This is a world-class release that tops even the masterpieces of recent years.

"If one may start with the bottom line, the only reason that this one didn’t get 100 points is because there would seem to be every chance that Tim Kirk will continue to outdo himself and come up with something even better. Mind you, looking at this wine, it is hard to imagine how he will do that. As always, this sits amongst the world’s very best Shiraz Viognier blends... The previous vintage was a masterpiece. 2023 Thomas Wines Kiss Shiraz
Andrew Thomas' flagship Kiss Shiraz comes from the low-cropping Pokolbin Estate vineyard, planted in 1969, and has been amongst the Hunter's finest Shiraz wines for many years.
As always, the 2023 vintage saw meticulous crop thinning and careful hand-picking. After a 24-hour cold soak and eight-day fermentation on skins, the wine aged for 16 months in premium French oak hogsheads, 20% of which were new.
The nose is full of ripe dark fruits, sarsaparilla, and warm spices. On the palate, find a myriad of black, blue and purple fruits, complemented by fine tannins and crisp acidity. Hints of black pepper, tea smoke, and espresso add complexity.
With a suite of strong reviews, this is an excellent release of Kiss and sadly, it will also be the last, making it and a must-try for fans of premium Aussie Shiraz.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
