This carefully curated collection of Shiraz is designed to give you six of the very best expressions of Australian Shiraz, from six of the finest producers in the country.
From rarely seen gems in Tyrrell's 4 Acres and Sami Odi, to South Australian modern icons in Standish Schubert Theorem and Yangarra Ironheart, to all-conquering cool climate masterclasses in Clonakilla and Yarra Yering, this pack is the ultimate Australian Shiraz collection.
There's not a Shiraz collector alive who wouldn't be thrilled with this pack. These are legendary, iconic wines that will take pride of place in any serious cellar. Just a handful of packs available.
The 2023 Sacred Sites 4 Acres Shiraz is one of the rarest and most revered wines in the Tyrrell’s stable – a single-block Shiraz from vines planted in 1879, dry-grown and still going strong almost a century and a half later. This tiny vineyard, less than two hectares in size, consistently produces some of the Hunter’s most hauntingly beautiful reds, and the 2023 vintage is no exception.
It’s classic Hunter in scale – mid-weight, savoury, and incredibly detailed – but the depth and nuance here go well beyond expectations. Cool vintage conditions gave the wine an extra layer of finesse: lifted red fruits, black tea, graphite and fine spice, all carried on a line of chalky tannin and subtle, old-oak polish. The winemaking is deliberately hands-off, letting these historic vines speak in full voice.
Only a handful of bottles are made each year, and they rarely leave the country. For those who love Hunter Shiraz – or simply collect Australia’s most iconic old-vine wines – this is as close to sacred ground as it gets.

"Boysenberry, ripe raspberry, violet, cracked pepper is a thing, albeit that very aromatic sort of black pepper that you get from Italy (strange thing to say, I know, though someone has to get me some more of that from Roscioli soon or I may snap). Medium-bodied, purple fruit and raspberry, has a quiet grip of tannin, deep and ferrous and spicy too, with exceptional length of flavour. It’s 4 acres from a great vintage. What more needs to be said?"

This is Fraser McKinley's finest expression of Shiraz from the Hoffmann family's oldest vines on their Dallwitz vineyard. The vines on this historic site were planted between 1888 and 1912.
The final blend is comprised of some 18 barrels. Here, Fraser is looking for his most eloquent expression of this great site with every vintage.
It's rich, it's bountiful, it's made in limited supply. The perfect wine for the Barossa collector who has it all.

"It's concentrated and presents with impressive fruit density, but there's a beautiful energy and freshness to its form. As always, the fruit is pure and perfectly poised; black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and blue fruits. The cut of spice is deep and exotic, floral flecks and raspberry pip lift, a glimpse of dried herbs, dried meats and violets in the rear-view mirror with an earthen overtone with compact, powdery tannins as the wine fades out. Superb."

The Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier is a wine that continues to redefine Australian Shiraz. Inspired by the greats of Côte-Rôtie, this is cool-climate winemaking at its most elegant and precise. It's a wine with a serious pedigree that Australia should be proud of.
Vintage 2023 wasn’t without its challenges—cool, wet spring conditions had the vines dragging their feet, leaving winemakers wondering if ripeness would ever come. But when it did, the fruit was harvested in pristine condition, delivering a wine that is a pure reflection of Clonakilla’s vision.
On the nose, it’s an aromatic explosion—lifted floral notes, black pepper, and that signature Viognier perfume weaving through the dark, spicy fruit. The palate is where it truly shines: fine, tightly-knit tannins, a wonderful savoury edge, and layers of blackberry, plum, and earthy complexity. It’s lithe and refined but with an underlying power that promises serious ageing potential.
This 2023 release is quintessential Clonakilla—regal, composed, and utterly captivating. If you’re already a fan, you’ll find all the hallmarks that have made this one of Australia’s most collectable wines. If you’re new to the fold, you’re in for a masterclass in how Shiraz Viognier should be done.

"Put simply, this is one of Australia’s greatest wines, year after year, and one of only a handful that can be reliably called world class, without hesitation... Virtuoso winemaking resulting in a masterpiece."

"A glorious shiraz viognier of exquisite detail and harmony. Super-fine, granitic-mineral tannins trace a magnificent finish and confirm a Clonakilla for the ages. A worthy joint winner of my Shiraz of the Year."

"There can be no question that Tim Kirk’s Murambateman masterwork is one of Australia’s most important wines, and this latest release builds on the legacy of previous vintages and elevates it even more."

Patience was the name of the game for the 2023 Barossa harvest - rain at the wrong time, picking stretching out longer than usual, and plenty of nail-biting decisions. But for The Schubert Theorem, that patience has paid off handsomely. Dan Standish knows this vineyard inside out. He spent eight years figuring out its quirks before he even bottled the first vintage.
This year’s Schubert feels deeper, a little more brooding, with a savoury edge that keeps it honest. There’s that trademark marine note, a salty, iodine thread that weaves through the dense black and blue fruits. Think mulberry compote, a hint of graphite, maybe a whiff of nori if you’re paying attention. The tannins are silky but firm enough to keep everything in line, and the acidity’s got a lovely lift.
An epic Schubert, maybe not the full throttle power of some warmer years but it maybe the most elegant rendition of this cuvee yet from Dan. Compelling wine, really about as good as Barossa Shiraz gets, from our point of view. You know is going to age beautifully but geez, it's going to be hard to leave it alone.

"The 2023 The Schubert Theorem Shiraz is a gorgeous wine. It is silky, inky, pure, black as the ace of spades and long through the finish... It has rose petals, detail and delicacy, power and precision... The ancient terroir of the Barossa is writ large in these wines. It is striking."

"The purest of plum, black cherry and blueberry fruits stretch impossibly long on the palate... smooth tannins, spice and texture compose a kinetic, graceful wine."

Underhill is the more extroverted sibling in the Yarra Yering Shiraz family - generous, expressive and disarmingly drinkable from day one.
Sourced from a single block planted by Dr. Bailey Carrodus in 1973, this eight-acre patch at the western edge of the estate delivers Shiraz with muscle and charm in equal measure. Where Dry Red No. 2 broods, Underhill beams - showing plush dark fruits, cracked pepper, lavender and a whiff of smoked meats, all wrapped up in a supple, silken frame.
Winemaker Sarah Crowe gives this wine a mix of whole bunch and whole berry ferments, time in both large format oak and seasoned puncheons, and a deft handling of tannin that keeps everything in check without dampening the wine’s natural swagger.
Delicious now, especially with a decant, but will cruise gracefully through the next 10–15 years if you can hold off. A benchmark cool-climate Shiraz, straight from one of Australia’s greatest sites.

"This is a glorious shiraz, bursting with life and what will surely be a 40-year life span, so perfectly framed and balanced are its black cherry and blackberry fruit duo, tannins obediently bending the knee to the fruit."

The Ironheart Shiraz is a blend of the best barrels from the most profound block of Shiraz on the biodynamically farmed Yangarra Estate in McLaren Vale.
Block 15, the most distinctive of the twelve blocks of Shiraz on the Yangarra vineyard, yields Shiraz fruit of immense concentration and complexity. The wine has an easy power and authority, a commanding presence and a wine built for great things in coming decades.
The fruit is rich yet balanced, the viticultural team at Yangarra mustering the regional concentration and stature of their hero variety whilst maintaining freshness and purity at the same time.
Big but beautiful is the message. A benchmark example of Shiraz from this region and now one of the most collectable in all of South Australia.
