Description

The name "En Bollery" should ring a few bells for anyone who knows their way around the Côte de Nuits. This parcel sits literally across the road from the legendary Clos de Vougeot. While Coteaux Bourguignons can sometimes be a bit of a simple "catch-all" category, this is a serious wine that clearly benefits from its high-rent neighbours. Alexandra Wilson treats this fruit with the same focus as the domaine’s top-tier crus, and it shows.

Alex’s background with Benjamin Leroux and Jane Eyre is evident in the way she’s handled this wine. She’s looking for depth and presence here, using a mix of ceramic "Clayvers" and older oak to build a silky, textural mouthfeel without losing that mineral drive. It’s got that lovely weight you expect from great white Burgundy, but it stays incredibly fresh and vibrant.

You’ll find plenty of white florals and ripe citrus on the nose, leading into a palate that feels expansive but tightly controlled, with a distinct saline hit on the finish. It’s a vivacious, harmonious white that punches well above its weight class—a perfect look at the style Alex is bringing to the new Alussia project.

Across the road from Clos de Vougeot (!) and adjacent to Flagy-Echezeux. Clay over limestone soils. South facing, organic in conversion.

Domaine d'Alussia

Domaine d'Alussia represents a compelling new chapter in Aloxe-Corton, emerging from the total restructuring of the former Domaine Mischief and Mayhem. At the centre of this evolution is Melbourne-born winemaker Alexandra Wilson, who took full control of the winemaking and harvest in 2024. Wilson brings a serious pedigree to the estate, having cut her teeth alongside her aunt, Jane Eyre, and the legendary Benjamin Leroux.

The domaine manages organically certified and biodynamic plots across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, including prime holdings in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pommard, and a rare sliver of Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru ‘Les Referts’. Working with organic specialist Bernard Zito, Wilson has pivoted the style toward a more transparent, modern aesthetic.

In the cellar, heavy-handed oak is dialed back in favour of a technical mix of older French oak and ceramic "Clayver" vessels. This builds sophisticated texture without masking fruit purity. From the saline Bourgogne Aligoté to the silky Pommard, these wines are defined by their freshness and "crunch". For those following the new generation of Burgundy talent, Alussia is firmly a name to watch.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
