About The Pack

Crisp and complex white wine is now the order of the day, and nothing quite hits that mark like a great glass of Chablis, the picturesque village at the northern limit of Burgundy where Chardonnay, and only Chardonnay, reigns supreme.

Premier and Grand Cru Chablis can separate you and your wine spending money pretty quickly but all is not lost, thanks to our cracking value Merry Crispness pack that features six different wines from six different producers.

They all represent fantastic bang pour le buck, and go across a range of levels and styles.

2020 Domaine Gerard Duplessis Petit Chablis

The one wine from Caves Duplessis that is very much made for drinking now with its openness and ripe flavour profile.

White flowers, citrus, and the classic mouth-watering flintiness that Chablis is known for, make for an approachable wine and a pocket-friendly price, particularly considering the organic, hands-off winemaking approach taken by the Lilian Duplessis.

This Petit Chablis is a perfect introduction into the house style of Gerard Duplessis.

2020 Gilbert Picq Chablis

This fantastic entry point into Chablis comes from the Picq family, who call the small village Chichée home.Gilbert Picq and his children Didier, Pascal and Marilyn manage small, low-yielding plots across AC and 1er sites all across Chablis.

The family manages to retain beautiful delicacy and transparency in their wines, making them in a classic style with native yeast ferments and no oak in site. This minimalistic approach produces crystal-clear wines such as this lovely example of AC Chablis.

It's everything you want in a wine from this region - it's crisp, focused and all about minerality and precision.

2021 Clotilde Davenne Chablis

Chablis is a superb winegrowing region completely dedicated to Chardonnay. Wines designated simply as 'Chablis' account for around two-thirds of all production in the region, with grapes coming from anywhere within its boundaries, rather than a specific town or vineyard.

The Clotilde Davenne Chablis comes from the village of Courgis, right next door to her winery in Prehy. The juice is fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel vats, with natural yeasts. The wine then rests for 8-12 months before bottling.

With great minerality, the wine has a beautiful aroma of oyster shells, synonymous with the Chablis region. Flavours of white peach and gunflint, coupled with crisp acidity, lend the wine a mouth-watering quality.

2019 Vincent Tremblay Chablis 1er Cru Montmains

Deceptively weighty for a Chablis, the grapes for this wine come from 40 year old vines situated in the 1er Cru 'Montmains' vineyard. 20% of the wine is aged in old oak barrels producing a rich and creamy white.

On the nose, it’s all notes of white flowers, stone fruits, and tart bright citrus. The palate opens beautifully, round and creamy in texture with honeyed notes leading to a lively yet lingering finish.

It’s Chablis with a bit of muscularity to it, and we like it. No, we love it.

2019 Domaine Guillaume Vrignaud Chablis

Perfect expression of Chablis' unique terroir; plenty of minerally, flinty character with that refreshing, steely acid!

Guillaume Vrignaud is the fifth generation of his family to care for these organically-farmed vineyards on the steep slopes of Chablis, using a loving touch to showcase the fruit of these 50-year-old vines. Hand-picking is followed by fermentation with native yeasts and wild malo. A few months on stainless steel vats and lees-ageing gives texture as well as longevity.

Bottled unfined. A nervy and racy bottling, ready to drink.

2020 Domaine Fevre AC Chablis

The Domaine Fèvre AC chablis is a great place to start if you're looking to venture into wonderful world of Chablis.

This wine comes from vines predominantly 15-25 years old some parcels planted in the 1950s and 1960s finding their way into the final blend.

The stony soils of the region impart a fine minerality to the wine and with no oak in sight, the freshness and soft texture here are a highlight.

This is Chablis 101 - sleek, fine-boned and delicious. This is great value from a family-owned domaine in the heart of the region.
