Only a limited number of these packs are available for a short time.
The Pack Features
2021 Mordrelle Malbec Lagrein Cabernet Shiraz
"Drop-dead beautiful stuff. Celestial value."
97pts, James Halliday (The Weekend Australian)
As the name of this wine suggests, the blend is Malbec, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz - with Malbec making up the majority at 50%.
Expect to find it full of a riot of black and purple fruits, violet florals, abound with a smooth texture, tannin and spice. It's all wrapped in a certain earthiness, too.
A really more-ish kind of red, and one that will go perfectly with any hearty meals.
2019 Mordrelle Basket Press Cabernet Sauvignon
"A smooth velvety palate – striking."
96pts, James Halliday (Halliday Wine Companion)
This Cabernet Sauvignon from Martin Moran at Mordrelle wines is an elegant and refined expression that offers extreme value for money at this price.
It goes through careful and considered winemaking treatment, with fermentation in open-top vats and hand plunging twice a day before ageing for 18 months in barrel.
All the hallmarks of the variety are present - blackcurrants, dark fruits, violet florals and green herbs. A charmingly smooth operator.
2022 Mordrelle Basket Press Barbera
Barbera is a variety typically characterised but it's peaky, vibrant acidity. In its home of Piedmont, these wines can be quite tight and nervy, however in this rendition, you can see Barbera dialled up on the ripeness scale.
Red-fruited, full, flavoured and juicy as all get out, this opulent expression of an Italian classic will keep you coming back for more with its lip-smacking acidity and smooth suede tannins.
It's a big-boned Barbera to be sure, but one that is the perfect gateway into the variety to those who enjoy the classic richness of South Australian reds.
2022 Mordrelle Basket Press Tempranillo
"it feels finely woven and controlled, its fruit-driven heart boosted by smoked meat and clove-like notes. It's nicely done"
93pts, Campbell Mattinson (Halliday Wine Companion)
Tempranillo is a variety that loves the heat and seems to have found a very happy home in Langhorne Creek.
Winemaker Martin Moran makes his full-bodied reds in a classic, warm-hearted style. The fruit is rich and ripe here in this release but it maintains all the clove and spice notes that are typically seen in the variety's homeland of Rioja.
It's no shrinking violet - this big but beautiful Tempranillo is perfect for your next home-made tapas fiesta!
2021 Mordrelle Basket Press Shiraz
"A complex bouquet with spice, blackberry and black cherries driving the palate."
96pts, James Halliday (Halliday Wine Companion)
A devastatingly delicious single block Shiraz release here from Argentinian-born Martin Moran.
The fruit for this wine hails from Langhorne Creek, where Martin can find the level of poise and ripeness that he loves in this variety.
With classic notes of black fruit, boot polish and a little hint of that lifted leafy note that is the thumbprint of the region, this opulent Shiraz will hit the spot for any lover of richer Shiraz styles out of the Barossa or Coonawarra, for a point of reference.
2022 Mordrelle The Gaucho Malbec
"The marriage of Langhorne Creek and malbec has been consummated countless times, albeit seldom with the finesse of this wine."
96pts, James Halliday (Halliday Wine Companion)
If big, bold Malbec full of plush fruit and subtle spice is what you're looking for, this one from Argentinian-born Martin Moran is one you can't miss. In some ways, it's an homage to his home town of Mendoza - a place highly regarded for Malbec.
The fruit comes from a single vineyard in Langhorne Creek, a great Aussie region for this variety.
It's one impressively bold, structured red filled with purple florals, ripe plum, whiffs of chocolate and peppery spice, finishing dry and long. Beautiful.

Ordering
We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.
- The price match cannot be used in conjunction with a coupon or one-off deal we are offering. The idea is for you to get the best price in the market so if that is already achieved through a coupon then we won't price match on top of that.
- We don't price match clearance or fire sales.
- We’ll match the listed price as long as it is a legitimate offer and the competing store is actually able to fulfil the order (they have stock or more stock is en route). Essentially we won't price match cheeky vendors listing wines they have no hope of actually getting for you...
- It must be a publicly listed price. We won't match a price that has been achieved through a coupon/cash-back arrangement, or through a non-advertised offer over the phone or otherwise.
- It is limited to a reasonable retail quantity.
We'll treat each price match request on its merit and reserve the right to refuse where we deem fit. For example, particularly rare wines, from non-trust-worthy vendors, in circumstances we deem illegitimate or if we feel our policy is being unfairly taken advantage of.
At the end of the day, we'll look after you and use common sense to ensure you're getting the best price, please just don't take the p%$$!
No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.
If you want to bulk order gifts or if you have any trouble please email hello@differentdrop.com or call and we can try and help.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
