Description

Stéphanie and Jérôme carry five generations of family winegrowing into Domaine du Beauregard, with each vineyard kept separate in the cellar. Les Anges offers an accessible introduction to their work, with the rounded fruit and gentle oak richness many people look for in white Burgundy.

The Chardonnay comes from vines averaging 45 years old, grown on sandstone at the edge of the Côtes du Couchois. After direct pressing, the wine ages in oak barrels, 20% new, adding a little toast and texture.

Orchard fruit and light floral notes meet a subtle buttery character, with a soft middle palate and enough freshness to keep the finish clean. Easy, golden, delicious, accessible white Burg, is the message here.

Mature vines, family ownership and well-judged oak make Les Anges a no-brainer for a sub-$50 everyday Burgundy.

TERROIR & VINEYARD

The "Les Anges" parcel is located on the slopes of Saint Sernin du Plain, benefiting from a southeast exposure. These vines, averaging 45 years old, flourish on a sandstone terroir, giving the Chardonnay a unique identity, both mineral and expressive.

We follow sustainable viticulture, ensuring a balanced ecosystem. The soil is carefully maintained through plowing, inter-row cultivation, and natural grass cover to protect against erosion. Organic amendments further revitalize the vines, guaranteeing high-quality grapes.

WINEMAKING

IIn the winery, we strive to enhance each vintage, showcasing the terroir and appellation. We limit inputs to preserve the wine’s authenticity, while also respecting lunar cycles during key steps such as racking and bottling, which is carried out on a flower day under a waning moon

AGEING: 100% oak barrels with 20% new oak barrels

GRAPE VARIETY: Chardonnay 100%

TASTING NOTES

The nose reveals an elegant bouquet, blending buttery notes, vanilla biscuit, pear, and delicate minerality. On the palate, the wine is rich and enveloping, offering a silky texture with a perfect balance between roundness and freshness. A refined and generous Chardonnay that showcases the best of Burgundy’s white wines.

Domaine du Beauregard

Meeting Stéphanie and Jérôme Dépernon earlier this year, we felt an immediate connection. A sibling team farming their own vineyards and making bright, full-flavoured, honest wines, they reminded us of Australian producers we love.

Their family’s Domaine du Beauregard spans five generations. Based in Saint-Sernin-du-Plain, where the southern Côte de Beaune meets the Côtes du Couchois, they work across Maranges, the Hautes Côtes de Beaune and surrounding appellations—some of Burgundy’s last pockets of real value.

The wines are generous and warm-hearted, with vibrant fruit, proper structure and an ease that invites another glass. These are Burgundies for dinner and sharing with friends, with plenty of character but no need for a speech before pouring.

Behind them is thoughtful work: Jérôme tends the vines and makes the wines, while Stéphanie brings French and Australian experience to sharing them. A welcoming introduction to Burgundy, with plenty for established lovers too, at reasonable prices—even at premier cru level.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
