Description

Clos des Champs Fulliot sits right beside the esteemed Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes, benefiting from a prime location in the Côte de Beaune. The 2024 vintage marks the very first release of this cuvée under the Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey label. Sourced from a parcel with vines ranging from 30 to 70 years old, it captures both the energetic lift of younger vines and the natural concentration of mature fruit. PYCM’s meticulous farming and thoughtful winemaking bring a striking level of detail and polish to this often-overlooked appellation.

While 2024 was a notoriously challenging, cooler-climate vintage, this specific site achieved an impressive sense of ripeness and depth. Fermented with roughly 40% whole bunches, the wine is defined by a vibrant floral perfume of rose petals and a core of bright raspberry, alongside slightly darker fruit nuances and a subtle nutty character. The palate offers good body and presence without losing Monthélie's signature finesse. PYCM's gentle extraction ensures the wine remains fresh and refined, with a finely measured structure that builds progressively toward the back of the palate.

As with all reds from the Colin-Morey cellar, quantities are incredibly small, a fact compounded by the severely reduced yields of the 2024 season. While the wine's floral and fruit-driven qualities make it tempting to open in its youth, its underlying structure will firmly reward patience. It is a highly assured debut cuvée that is best tucked away in the cellar for a few years to fully integrate.

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, often known simply as PYCM, is the husband and wife team of Pierre-Yves Colin and Caroline Morey - a meeting of families steeped in Burgundian tradition.

Pierre-Yves is the eldest son of the Marc Colin, where he worked until 2005 - he established his own negociant business and domaine from family vineyards he inherited. His star has been rising ever since, making electric wines from parcels across Saint Aubin, Puligny, Meursault, Corton and his home commune of Chassagne.

The wines are pure and driven, with no batonnage (lees-stirring), only natural yeasts, and no fining or filtering. The corks are extra-long and bottles wax-sealed to avoid any possibility of premature oxidation. He builds white wines for the long haul.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
