Description
Clos Saint Jean holds a fair reputation for producing some of Chassagne-Montrachet's most remarkable red wines. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey recently added this storied 1er Cru to his lineup in 2023. This is just the second release. While Chassagne is often overwhelmingly associated with white Burgundy, this specific vineyard demonstrates just how compelling and elegant the village's Pinot Noir can be in the right hands.
Utilising roughly 40% whole bunches during fermentation, PYCM's careful approach perfectly complements the delicate, cooler-climate profile of the 2024 vintage. The notoriously challenging, low-yielding season produced a naturally pale but profoundly stylish Pinot Noir, prioritising finesse over sheer power. The palate is beautifully silky and ethereal, offering bright red fruit and a highly perfumed aromatic lift that stretches out beautifully on the back end. It perfectly captures the fresh energy of 2024, underpinned by crisp acidity and a fine, persistent tannic grip.
As with all of PYCM’s red cuvées, production is exceptionally limited, and the severely reduced harvest of 2024 has made this bottling even more scarce. While its silky texture and lifted perfume make it undeniably enticing in its youth, it is a wine built with the structural tension to age gracefully. For those lucky enough to secure a bottle, tucking it away in the cellar for the better part of a decade will see it hit its full potential.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
