Description

This deeply coloured and seductive Teroldego comes from parcels of two different vineyards, both with pebbly alluvial soils along the Noce River.

The fruit comes out dense with minerality, then goes through skin contact fermentation in Tinajas (amphorae) for 8 months. The resultant wine is a rustic, earthy red that, despite its deep colour, is quite soft and smooth.

A mixture of floral aromas unfurl into red and black fruits, wrapped in wet earth and spice. A special wine that you could drink happily now if you wanted to, or it could happily spend time in a cellar.

"So much forest-floor character on the nose, showing blackberries, walnuts, dried thyme and lead-pencil undertones. It’s medium- to full-bodied with a long, flavorful finish. The polish, depth and balance of rich and fresh fruit is so enticing. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold."

Through the use of amphorae (Tinajas from Villarrobledo, Spain), with their particular shape and the porosity of the clay that they are made of, the winemaking process is undertaken with purity and balance. The process of turning grapes into wine is not effected by outside influences; the amphora acts as a shield, allowing the grapes to progress with only the character of the earth and grape variety as their guidance. Morei means ‘moro’ or ‘dark’ in the Trentino dialect and the grapes cultivated in this vineyard are a firm echo of this.

Elisabetta Foradori

Elisabetta Foradori is a trailblazing organic winegrower from the town of Trentino in Mezzolambardo.

Her first vintage was in 1984, with her conversion to biodynamics beginning in 2002. By 2007 she was certified and now is considered one of the most forward-thinking winegrowers in Italy with a huge international profile.

Her wines are made with a natural sensibility. The gentle use of clay amphora and inert vessels for ferments and maturation sees her mainline a sense of place from grape to glass.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
