Description

Arturo and Kike de Miguel are making some of the most exciting, terroir-driven wines in Rioja right now. Before you even look at their high-end, single-vineyard releases, you probably should start here. Their entry-level Rioja is hands-down one of the best value reds on the shelf. If you want a glimpse into the fresh, "new wave" of Rioja, this is it.

Sourced from their bush vines around the village of Baños de Ebro in Rioja Alavesa, this is a traditional field blend of roughly 95% Tempranillo and 5% Viura. The winemaking is purely focused on freshness and energy. It undergoes carbonic maceration and is fermented and rested entirely in concrete - no oak in sight.

the 2024 a dangerously drinkable, generously flavoured wine. It delivers all the bright, satisfying red fruit you want from a young, Joven-style Rioja, but completely avoids the artificial, bubblegum character that can sometimes plague carbonic wines. It is packed with finesse, balance, and a lively energy. Do yourself a favour and serve this with a slight chill, it is genuinely a wine to buy by the case and drink unashamedly.

"This is a bargain to buy by the truckload and drink unashamedly."
- Luis Gutiérrez (The Wine Advocate)

92 points - "The eponymous 2024 Artuke is a juicy and tasty carbonic maceration red, a modern rendition of the classical "cosechero" wines. It is perfumed, aromatic and heady, with aromas of bubble gum and flowers and a velvety palate with almost unnoticeable tannins. It's a young and unoaked Tempranillo with some 5% white Viura grapes from the village of Baños de Ebro and was kept in concrete until it was bottled. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2024. This is a bargain to buy by the truckload and drink unashamedly." - Luis Gutiérrez (The Wine Advocate)

91 points - "A fresh, vibrant nose with potpourri, morello cherries, briar and flowers. Not complex but so pure and fruit-forward with chewy, stemmy tannins providing firmness. Ripe fruit gives a "sweet," approachable impression. 100% whole-cluster fermentation with carbonic maceration. Lovely. Drink now." - Zekun Shuai (James Suckling)

92 points - "Fun. Juicy, bright, then a dry finish. Blackcurrants, choc-cherry, cranberry, dusty spice, tight tannin and a squeaky, brisk finish. Feels classy but also one for guzzling with ease, maybe showing off a bit its fancier profile. Oh yum. Oh good." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
