Clos du Bourg is the crown jewel of Domaine Huet’s legendary sites, and the 2023 Moelleux is a stunning example of what makes this terroir so revered. Sheltered by its ancient walls, the vineyard’s warm microclimate lends itself perfectly to the production of this luscious yet impeccably balanced style of Chenin Blanc.
With 40 to 80 g/L of residual sugar, this wine leans toward sweetness, but its hallmark is balance. High acidity and a distinct line of salty limestone minerality cut through the rich flavours, creating a wine that’s as refreshing as it is indulgent. Aromas of honey, beeswax, and orange cream are layered with notes of burnt caramel and delicate white flowers. On the palate, it’s silky and textural, with a racy energy that keeps everything in harmony.
