Description
Mont-Redon has been doing this for a long time – and it shows. The 2022 release is exactly what you’d hope for from one of Châteauneuf’s most respected names. It’s Grenache-led, backed by Syrah and Mourvèdre, with a few of the lesser-seen varieties playing their part too. All the fruit is hand-picked and destemmed, with a meticulous selection process that sees anything not up to scratch left out of the final blend.
It’s got weight and ripeness, but also polish and restraint – a proper CdP that doesn’t go over the top. The warm, dry vintage gave fruit with plenty of concentration, and the final wine is full-bodied, dark-fruited and spicy, but balanced, with tannins that are firm without being overbearing. It’ll reward some time in the cellar, but honestly, if you give it a good decant now, it’s already starting to show its cards.

"A well-composed, structured and refined Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The nose reveals notes of dark cherries, cassis, dried thyme, black pepper and a touch of violets. It's full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. The frame of tannins shape up the palate, with dark berries at the core. Plenty of spices and grilled herb character on the palate bring vibrancy and drive. Robust and focused, and the funneled finish has length. Try after 2028."

"Black raspberries, subtle cassis, graphite, pepper, and beautifully integrated oak define this classy beauty, and it's medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with building, ripe tannins and a great finish. This is a gorgeous wine in the making, but it will probably take 7-8 years to hit maturity. This could be up there with the legendary Mont-Redons."

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
