Description
Under his Lulu Vigneron label, Ludwig Bindernagel focuses on honest, unfussy Jura wines that show place before polish. This Savagnin comes from limestone and marl soils in the Côtes du Jura, farmed organically and made with minimal intervention in the cellar.
The 2021 vintage was a challenging one, with frost and a cool season cutting yields hard. What little fruit survived came in with bright acidity and a clear, savoury profile. Ludwig chose to ferment naturally and mature the wine in old oak, avoiding heavy oxidative character but allowing just enough air for texture and depth to build.
In the glass it’s citrus-driven with green apple, preserved lemon and a gentle herbal thread. There’s some nutty, saline detail, the palate taut and brisk with a clean finish. It’s classic Savagnin in a fresher, straighter style – no excess weight, just clarity and drive.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order. No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
