Château Rieussec is one of the top names in Sauternes, sitting just next door to Château d’Yquem and holding its own as a Premier Cru Classé since 1855. These guys know their way around botrytised Sémillon, and under the Lafite Rothschild crew, the wines have only gotten sharper and more refined over the years.
The 2015 vintage was a beauty - warm and dry, ideal for developing that golden, sticky magic Sauternes is all about. At Rieussec, they hit the sweet spot (literally) with a blend of mostly Sémillon and a touch of Sauvignon Blanc. It’s lush, layered and super pure, with all the hallmark notes of honeyed stone fruit, citrus and spice, but it’s also got a lovely freshness that keeps everything in check.
This 375ml bottle is spot-on for sharing after dinner or tucking away if you’ve got the patience - it’s going to age like a dream.

Pineapple jam and mangoes — endless tropical fruits. This ends very clean and is almost tannic on the finish. A truly great Sauternes. Energy."

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
