2024 Yangarra Ovitelli Grenache
From a single block of 1946-planted bush vines at the heart of Yangarra’s certified biodynamic vineyard, the Ovitelli is Grenache at its most poised and pure. This wine has become one of the benchmark expressions of the variety in Australia - a study in restraint, precision, and site transparency.
Sourced from Block 30, adjacent to the famed High Sands vines, the fruit is meticulously berry sorted, destemmed, and fermented in large ceramic eggs. The wine remains on skins for seven months post-ferment, no pressings, no oak, just slow, patient development in ceramic.
The 2024 vintage has more flesh than the fine-boned 2023 and looks all the better for it. Plushness and purity is how we describe the 2024 - it's sensational.
A pure, site-driven expression that feels less like a winemaker’s fingerprint and more like a direct transmission from vine to glass. One of Australia’s great Grenaches - full stop.

"Together, the wine looks both supple and tightly coiled, and it bears all the hallmarks of aging impressively well over the week it has been open, and decades into the future too. This is a super wine."

2024 Yangarra Hickinbotham Grenache
A single-site Grenache from one of the most storied vineyards in McLaren Vale, this small-batch bottling sees Yangarra flex their winemaking muscles just five minutes up the road in Clarendon.
Sourced from dry-grown bush vines planted in 1962 on the Hickinbotham estate, this is Grenache of depth and finesse. The 2024 season began with a wet winter and dry spring as conditions transitioned from La Niña toward El Niño. Unexpected summer rainfall encouraged generous bunch and berry development, while warm weather through late summer delivered balanced ripeness and expressive fruit. A concentrated two-week harvest captured the vineyard at its peak and has produced one of the wines of the vintage for this estate.
It's an incredibly fine, lifted expression of Grenache: red cherry and blood orange, a flicker of spice, and silky tannins that carry the wine with subtle power. It’s the second vintage with full organic and biodynamic certification from this block, and it shows in a wine that hums with energy. How good is Grenache from this part of the world??

"Elegance is a byword for the whole grenache suite, with transparency, fine detail and natural tannin complexity constants. Deep red and black cherry, dark rose, some faint blue fruit/floral cues, Baharat, a very fine anise note, along with amaro herbs and warm earth, all so finely wrought. Tannins are so elegant yet insistent, and the accord with acidity make this dangerously drinkable now; though, given the wine holds up for several days, the future is assured."

2024 Yangarra King's Wood Shiraz
The King’s Wood has always sat at the more refined end of the McLaren Vale Shiraz spectrum, and in 2024 it hits something like a McLaren Vale Cornas, to use a trite comparison.
Sourced from a southeast-facing patch of ironstone and sandy soils on Block 12, this is a wine of tension, depth and lifted savoury charm. With 20% whole bunches in the ferment and the rest carefully berry sorted, it spent around 20 days on skins before gentle basket pressing into large format French and Austrian foudres. Oak plays a quiet supporting role here, letting the fruit do the heavy lifting.
It's a Shiraz that has always leaned into elegance over excess. There’s plum skin, black cherry, tapenade, cured meat and pepper spice, with fine, framing tannins and a cooling sense of energy.
This is Yangarra’s take on Shiraz with finesse - a wine that speaks more to Northern Rhône inspiration than McLaren muscle. A serious, structured, beautifully poised wine.

"So much complex and engaging detail here, layered, available, not cloaked by oak, and never forced. The tannin structure is refined and this is sapid in delivery, made for the table. A superb release."

2023 Yangarra Ironheart Shiraz
The Ironheart Shiraz is a blend of the best barrels from the most profound block of Shiraz on the biodynamically farmed Yangarra Estate in McLaren Vale.
Block 15, the most distinctive of the twelve blocks of Shiraz on the Yangarra vineyard, was planted in 1999 on ironstone gravels and yields Shiraz fruit of immense concentration and complexity – a wine built for great things in coming decades.
The 2023 season was shaped by cool, wet conditions that delivered balanced canopies and naturally lower yields. Thoughtful vineyard practices encouraged healthy fruit and even ripening, enabling a concentrated three-week harvest completed in early April, producing an elegant vintage of Yangarra's Shiraz flagship.
Complex and full-bodied, with floral notes, rich black fruits, cocoa nibs, cardamom and smooth, refined tannins.

"This, the flagship shiraz.. It’s testament to the farming here that so much flavour is achieved at this ripeness and weight, and this promises to age well; just give it a year or two."

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
