About This Wine
This wine is the essence of what Champagne Lacourte-Godbillon are all about, showcasing the house style to a T.
The 85% Pinot Noir/ 15% Chardonnay ratio in this brilliant non-vintage wine is a perfect reflection of their vineyard plantings thus highlighting what makes these Premier Cru champagnes so unique and special.
Lots of toasty yellow fruits on the nose, which is quite typical from the village of Ecueil. The palate is a melange of different citrus characters, all framed by a soft and balanced acid structure.
About Champagne Lacourte-Godbillon
Located on the western slopes of Montagne de Reims, the wines of Lacourte-Godbillon are sourced from their holdings in and around the Premier Cru village of Ecueil.
Grower-producers in the truest sense of the word, they control all the aspects of their own viticulture, winemaking and cellaring. The first wines released under this house were in 1947.
Now run by the 4th-generation of the family, Geraldine Lacourte-Godbillon, they own 8.5 ha of vines, mainly Pinot Noir.
Farming without chemicals, they are currently in the process of converting their vineyards to biodynamics.
