Description

Riesling from the Tamar Valley here (TMV) from young winemaker, Ricky Evans.

This is a tightly coiled and refined Riesling of streamlined fruit character and finesse. A smidge of residual sugar gives this a lovely balance in the mouth, making it brilliant to drink immediately and a gem for the cellar, depending on when you like to drink your Riesling.

Ricky continues to impress, a rising star of the Tasmanian wine scene and one to keep a close eye on. If you love Riesling from cooler climes, this is absolutely worth a look.

"There's a lovely balance and tension to this wine, with pristine apple and citrus fruits framed by a tight, nervy acidity and a cascade of minerals."
- Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)

94 points - "The 2025 TMV Riesling is concentrated and savory, with layers of salted lime, crushed shells, brine and pith. The palate is texturally tight, and the acidity is long and saline. This is good, mouth-filling Riesling with waxy phenolics and white spice. The fruit here is from Tamar Valley, as all wines from this TMV label are (when bottled with blue caps, the wines are from Tamar Valley; orange caps are from the East Coast, Freycinet area; and the red caps are from the south). This Riesling marries the typically terse Tasmanian acidity with admirable fruit density and texture. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap." - Erin Larkin (The Wine Advocate)

95 points - "Tamar Valley–sourced riesling from three sites: Three Wishes and Glen Shian at opposite ends of the valley with a dash of Bundaleera in the south. Snappy green apple, juicy lime and grapefruit notes with hints of meadow flowers, crushed stone, citrus zest, sea spray and white flowers. There's a lovely balance and tension to this wine, with pristine apple and citrus fruits framed by a tight, nervy acidity and a cascade of minerals. The finish is refreshing, crisp and shows impressive drive and precision." - Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)

Very addictive

This one is a touch off-dry and so easy/addictive to drink. It's my go-to Riesling at the moment. Highly recommended.

Awesome riesling

I love riesling and this is one of the tastiest I've had recently. Just enough sweetness to be noticeable but no more. Delicious!

This wine is from Tasmania’s Tamar Valley (TMV). Beginning just south of Launceston the valley winds 50km north to its meeting point with the powerful Bass Strait.

With an endless number of aspects and micro climates, this wine is produced from two spots which together represent what we love about riesling from this area. Three Wishes, planted in 1999 is at Hillwood is a warmer site, protected from the north, and the river is just to the south, just a few hundred metres away. To compliment, we have two little plots from growers in Relbia, much further south, with a zesty acid profile these balance the lush fruit and lifted aromatics from the Three Wishes vineyard.

Aromatic and textured, the wine lifts with perfume from the glass and has weight on the palate, tension and purity.

Woodlawn Tasmania

Woodlawn Tasmania is the umbrella under which Ricky Evans' three wine labels coalesce.

His three labels include the regional Two Tonne Tasmania series of Tamar Valley Riesling, Chardonnay and sub-regional Pinot Noirs, the experimental series of wines under the Havilah label made for his wine bar in Launceston of the same name and his Single Vineyard range of exceptional premium wines from his beloved Tamar Valley vineyards farmed by Ricky himself.

Evans is one of Tasmania's most dynamic winemakers. Over his time since serendipitously starting the Two Tonne Tasmania label in 2013, Ricky's approach to both farming grapes and making wine has matured dramatically. The young gun is now an established player in the upper echelon of the island and is set to be one of Tasmania's most influential voices in wine for many years to come.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
