Description

Dan Graham is taking a new look at the Barossa, steering away from heavy extraction towards wines that emphasize real structural detail and genuine drinkability. He has spent years building a network of top-tier growers, and for this 2025 Chenin, he has cast his net across both the Barossa and the high northern hills of the Clare Valley.

Dan presses the fruit firmly to grab extra phenolics, lets the juice ferment naturally on lees, and allows it to go through full malolactic conversion. It spent months resting in a mix of seasoned French and Slovenian oak before settling in tank.

What hits the glass is brilliantly unique and savoury. It tracks along with a smoky, wild herb edge, backed by a waxy, salty citrus drive and a distinctive texture that feels like crushed stones.

There's real flesh and depth here, but it stays entirely focused, refreshing, and dangerously smashable.

95 points - "Mainly from the Barossa Valley this year, with 15% from the Clare, and a decent drop down to modest alcohol levels – not that it was high prior. This is quite captivating on the nose. Well, the palate, too, but the combination of savouriness, umami notes, spice and fruitful appeal is so perfectly pitched. Dried apple, poached pear, wild thyme, white miso, cinnamon, preserved lemon, beeswax, lime pith, fennel seed, a little appealingly smoky reduction and a wet concrete mineral quality. A complex display, but an accessible one. So much flavour here, and such elan to the refreshingly sapid palate. Lovely." - Marcus Ellis (Halliday Wine Companion)

Customer Reviews

The 2025 Chenin Blanc shows notes of Meyer lemon, flint, and a gentle cashew richness. There’s lemon curd, golden apple and a touch of spice, with a savoury edge of brined citrus and quince sitting just underneath. On the palate, it’s layered but controlled - a fine chalky texture, steady acidity, and a mineral line that keeps everything in place. It builds slowly in the glass, holding both tension and depth.

Varieties: 100% Chenin Blanc (85% Barossa Valley, 15% Clare Valley)
Alcohol: 12.1%

Sourced from three sites. An over 60-year-old organically farmed vineyard, most elevated block in the northern Clare Valley brings drive and purity. Vine Vale in the Barossa adds precision from sandy soils, while a small Light Pass parcel brings a bit more flesh and depth. The fruit is pressed firmly to pull out texture and phenolic detail, then fermented naturally on lees for 8 to 20 days, going through full malolactic fermentation. It rests in older French and Slovenian oak puncheons, a 1000L European oak cask, and a 3200L foudre until January 2026, before being gently racked into stainless steel for another 6 weeks, and then bottled with minimal sulphur addition.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
