Description

Porongurup is one of Australia's great Riesling subregions, and Harewood's vines here are among the original plantings in these ranges. Cool, elevated, and with a track record of producing wines that age slowly and reward patience considerably.

Only free-run juice is used, with a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel, and minimal fining. Everything geared toward capturing the natural delicacy and purity of the site.

The style is taut, precise and citrus-driven, with a chalky mineral thread and floral lift through a long, focused palate. Real concentration beneath the apparent delicacy, and acidity that gives the wine genuine structure for the long term.

Harewood are Riesling specialists and this is the pick of the bunch, whether for now or the cellar.

"The palate is seriously intense and focused, penetrating and long... Superb wine, and well worth cellaring."

"This is a beauty. And it's a crazy bargain if we consider that this wine ages gracefully and slowly for at least 15 years"
- Erin Larkin (The Wine Advocate)

"Tart and tangy, revitalising and uplifting. A laser-like textural experience... Top flight, is the message. "
- Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

96 points - "Light yellow hue; fresh and pungent lime/lemon and crushed herb aromas, superbly intense and varietal. The palate is seriously intense and focused, penetrating and long, with spicy riesling florals showing a range of aromas and flavours, the finish drawn out and long-lasting. Superb wine, and well worth cellaring." - Huon Hooke (The Real Review)

96 points - "The 2025 Porongurup Riesling is chalky and floral, with notes of musk stick, chamomile and calamine/wet chalk, wisteria, jasmine and sweet pea, too. The palate is piercing, taut and delicate in its way, and having just tasted the beautiful 2016 Museum Release alongside it, I can see where this is going in the future. This is a beauty. And it's a crazy bargain if we consider that this wine ages gracefully and slowly for at least 15 years, but beyond that, I am sure there is a bright future, too. Over to you. Be smart. 12% alcohol, sealed under screw cap." - Erin Larkin (The Wine Advocate)

95 points - "Tart and tangy, revitalising and uplifting. A laser-like textural experience. Lots of green lime, green apple, pink grapefruit juice and talc. It ticks a lot of boxes for varietal and regional character. Very pristine and precise, a good deal of inward concentration in its lithe frame. Top flight, is the message." - Mike Bennie (Halliday Wine Companion)

94 points - "Friends in the West are already getting excited about the quality of the 2025 vintage. Early days of course, but the initial indications are very promising. This is a cracking Riesling from the Great Southern region and is excellent value. A very pale lemon hue, there are lovely citrus notes here, with florals, grapefruit and lemon. Fresh and clean, there is excellent length. Notes of jasmine and wet stones emerge towards the finish. A well-balanced wine with good acidity, this has at least fifteen years of pleasure ahead of it." - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)

The grapes for this wine were sourced from one of the original plantings of Riesling in the Porongurup ranges of Western Australia’s Great Southern wine region.

Only the finest, more pristine, “free-run” juice was used in the production of this wine resulting in a palate of outstanding finesse, free from the harsh, phenolic characters and deeper colours associated with grape pressings.

A long, cool ferment in stainless steel tanks, minimal fining and the use of screw caps are all further steps towards capturing the inherent delicacy of this cool climate variety.

A brilliant, exceptionally pale straw colour with youthful green tinges.

The wine exhibits fine floral and citrus notes enhanced by an underlying flinty vibrancy.

An elegant, seamless palate with initial flavours of green apple and grapefruit leading to a crisp mid-palate with an underlying slate character finishing with classic mouth-watering lemons and limes. The fine structure is testament to the care taken during this wines production.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
