Description

Frankland Estate’s Isolation Ridge Riesling is widely regarded as one of Australia’s absolute benchmarks for the variety, grown on the remote, ironstone soils of their organically certified estate.

The family approach this with a holistic focus on viticulture, aiming to capture the sheer power of the site rather than stripping it back. It is a highly intense, singular white that swaps the simple, neutral traits of everyday commercial Riesling for incredible structural depth and massive cellaring potential.

The 2025 growing season produced a beautifully concentrated, ripe crop that dialled up the wine’s fruit purity and aromatic volume. In the winery, the team worked meticulously to respect the grape’s natural phenolics, allowing the juice to build a fine, chalky texture that perfectly frames the fruit. They avoided any heavy-handed intervention, keeping the winemaking completely transparent to let the ironstone minerality and electric natural acid run at maximum volume.

The nose is incredibly intense and exotic, bursting with lime sherbet, candied cumquat, lemongrass, and a unique, sweet-smelling musk-stick floral perfume. The palate is a total powerhouse of crunch and energy, loaded with crisp green apple, white nectarine, and a distinct chalky, stony grip. A mouth-wateringly juicy, vibrant wave of acidity sweeps through the finish.

This is an iconic, deeply complex Riesling and unlike any other in Australia.

"Concentration-plus! Organically grown Isolation Ridge vineyard in the super cool Great Southern consistently produces one of the more concentrated and intense Rieslings in the country. The ’25 offers another superlative example."

96 points - "Concentration-plus! Organically grown Isolation Ridge vineyard in the super cool Great Southern consistently produces one of the more concentrated and intense Rieslings in the country. The ’25 offers another superlative example. Super bright and zesty, it reveals hidden depths which excite now but, boy, in the future they will only intensify. Citrus blossom, lime zest, lime cordial, lemon with hints of curry leaf, lemongrass and sweet-smelling herbal aromas. Arrives zesty, zippy and dry with lime to the forefront. Lime and citrus carry forward with wildflower florals, wild herbs, a pinch of curry leaf and ginger – an exotic note – growing deeper and gathering weight and intensity as it closes. And the acidity, the wine’s secret weapon, is mouth-wateringly juicy fresh. Superb." - Jeni Port (Wine Pilot)

96 points - "I’m arriving at the conclusion, after years of drinking Frankland Estate Riesling, that they simply can’t make a bad wine. Maybe it’s Brian Kent. Maybe it’s the holistic viticulture. Maybe it’s the family lineage. Whatever the reason, the 2025 Isolation Ridge only strengthens the argument. A powerful base note of candied cumquat, pickled radish and lime sherbet sits at the core. Everything feels ripe, sticky and pure. There’s a notable musk-stick floral character here too, dialled up more than in previous vintages. In the mouth, the fruit is always front of mind, but the grabby phenolics are equally enticing, locking in the resolved acid and allowing it to operate at maximum volume without overpowering. An iconic and singular wine. Drink as is." - Cyndal Petty (Wine Pilot)

95 points - "Lime, crisp green apple, a vanilla/white flower perfume, slight aniseed, spice, and a general chalky/stony thing happening. It’s tight, but flavoursome, a powdery grip to texture, a sizzle of green apple acidity through lime rind and white nectarine, tight and zesty on a finish of outstanding length, a little apple skin and citrus peel cinch to close. Such crunch and energy. Very good." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

Frankland Estate

Frankland Estate are one of the leading producers in the Frankland River region of WA. Family owned and operated since 1988, their major focus is on certified organically grown fruit that reflects its terroir rather than the hand of the winemaker.

Their cool climate Rieslings are regarded as some of the best in the region and the country with several single vineyard releases that could be a contender for Australia's Best Riesling.

Frankland Estate is cutting a mean wave through the industry and picking up a lot of recognition in the process.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
