Description

The 1314 label is Bannockburn letting their hair down. While the main estate wines are built for the cellar, these are built for the fridge and the park.

For the 2025 release, they have utilised a blend of estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from vines planted way back in 1981. It is a serious pedigree for a 'casual' wine.

It was handpicked and whole bunch pressed before spending three months on lees in a mix of tank and old oak. That time on lees is key. It takes what could be a simple, fruity wine and gives it a lovely savoury texture.

Expect a generous core of jubey red fruits like raspberries and pear drops, backed by a fresh, crunchy palate of red apple skin and bramble. It is dry, it has a subtle herbal kick and it is absolutely perfect for relaxed drinking.

"A well-crafted wine to have in the fridge and ready to go this summer!"
- Philip Rich (Halliday Wine Companion)

94 points - "A blend of estate cabernet sauvignon/merlot/shiraz. A light, bright salmon. Subtle aromas of red berries, tangerines and spice lead onto the palate, which is dry, moreish and nicely persistent. A well-crafted wine to have in the fridge and ready to go this summer!" - Philip Rich (Halliday Wine Companion)

92 points - "This is a particularly lively rosé. It’s highly aromatic and fruit-generous, though it’s pale in colour and indeed racy. Strawberry and pear flavours lead a highly engaging charge, aided by general fruit salad flavours and zesty lemon. But think strawberry and pear, in a textural context, with a fresh, well-defined finish, and you have this wine in a nutshell." - Campbell Mattinson (The Wine Front)

1314 Rosé is made from a blend of estate Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot grown on our established vineyards, planted in 1981.

Winemaking
Handpicked fruit was whole bunch pressed, settled over night, and racked to tank for temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. After fermentation the wine was racked to a combination of stainless steel and old barrels for a 3-month maturation on lees prior to bottling.

Tasting Note
1314 Rosé 2025 is bright and lively, with a generous core of jubey red fruits and a gentle savoury touch. Aromas of raspberries, pear drops, citrus and bramble lead into a fresh, textured palate of red apple skin and spicy, forest fruits. A subtle herbal note adds lift and complexity, keeping the wine crisp and dry. An easy going yet characterful Rosé made for relaxed, early drinking.

Bannockburn

For over 50 years, Bannockburn has been a quiet force in Australian fine wine. The story began in 1974 when Stuart Hooper discovered and planted this now-iconic site in Victoria’s Moorabool Valley. In 1978, Gary Farr joined as winemaker, bringing a Burgundian lens that helped define the estate’s identity.

Today, Matt Holmes leads the winemaking, first stepping in for the 2005 vintage and returning permanently in 2015 after Michael Glover’s departure. Holmes’ style is thoughtful and site-first - guided by organics, minimal intervention, and an intuitive feel for balance. His Chardonnays are chiseled and composed. The Pinot Noirs - more precise than ever - are some of Victoria's best.

Viticulturist Lucas Grigsby, a 30-year veteran, tends the vines with the same hands-on, regenerative mindset. Together, they farm sustainably - straw mulching, composting, and nurturing cover crops - all to express the site with absolute clarity.

Bannockburn’s single-vineyard range tells the deeper story. S.R.H. Chardonnay draws tension and salinity from ancient marine sediments. The iconic Serré vineyard, planted densely in 1984, channels a Grand Cru sensibility. These are wines shaped by place, not ego. They hum with Burgundian influence, but speak fluently in an Australian accent.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
