This is the wine that sets the standard for Etna Rosso. Marco de Grazia has done more than anyone to elevate the reputation of the volcano, and his estate release delivers a level of sophistication that is remarkably rare at this price point.
Sourced from the cooler northern slopes of Mount Etna, this is predominantly Nerello Mascalese with a small addition of Nerello Cappuccio. It captures the high-altitude tension and "nervous" energy that makes these wines so compelling, often drawing comparisons to fine Pinot Noir.
The winemaking follows a traditional path designed to preserve that character - wild yeast fermentation and maturation in large, neutral oak vessels (botti). It is about guiding the fruit, not masking it with wood.
You get a rush of bright red currants and cherries, layered with savoury herbs and a distinct, smoky mineral streak that speaks directly of the volcanic soil. The tannins are polished but present, providing a frame for a finish that is long, fragrant, and effortlessly drinkable. It is one of our favourite gateways to Etna Rosso.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
