Description

Margaret River is the home of the "Aussie White Bordeaux", the classic Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and Bruce Dukes makes one of the best in the area.

The Discovery is 'classic' in the best possible way. As Bruce describes, "Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are captured to highlight their attractiveness in youth." That freshness is complimented by the soft savoury undertones of the portion which has been barrel fermented.

The classics are classic for a reason.

This is a top-value example from this famous region.

"There’s texture, flavour, brightness and good fruit flavours within – lots of lemon and mandarin, a touch of lime and barely a hint of tropical fruit, more gooseberry, if anything. There's a succulence and mouth-watering, neat acidity keeping it bopping along, a layer of creaminess and more. Nice one."

94 points - "Sauvignon Blanc is the life of the party here, contributing 95% of the blend; the remaining 5% comes from 39-year-old Semillon vines. All of the fruit was fermented in barrel, mostly seasoned oak, with weekly batonnage for two months. The result? An SBS to drink in the glory of its youth; it walks the line of freshness and complexity, with lifted aromatics underpinned by savoury base notes. The nose is firmly in the tropics; think passionfruit, guava, feijoa, honeydew melon and a vision of reeds swaying amongst the tides of the mangroves. A hint of lemongrass and a simmering briny minerality are wrapped in subtle cheesecloth. Impeccable fruit offers waves of flavour, fine-grained texture, bright acidity and finishes with lengthy finesse. This has it all. A cracker of a wine." - Cassandra Charlick (Decanter)

Fruit and smoke

My first barrel fermented savvy B with some Sem. I love how the tropical fruit is tempered with a savoury smokey edge. I also appreciate the zingy acid while there’s some nice texture. Very refreshing.

Beautiful Balance of Fruit and Acidity

Crisp, clean, refreshing, delicious

Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are captured to highlight their attractiveness in its youth.

Complex layered and blended white. Sauvignon offering lifted fragrances of gooseberry and lychee, with Semillon offering fig, white grapefruit and a mineral component. The portion of barrel fermentation introduces exotic spice and textural harmonization.

Fruit is harvested based on flavours and natural acidity. 15% of the blend is fermented in new French Oak barriques, with the remaining 85% fermented in seasoned French oak Puncheons. After fermentation the blend is aged on lees in oak with fortnightly battonage for 2 months.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
