Description
La Comme is one of the jewels of Santenay, tucked right on the border with Chassagne and known for producing Pinot of surprising refinement compared to the sturdier style often associated with the village. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s take on this 1er Cru is as precise and thoughtful as you’d expect, showing both the generosity of Santenay fruit and the polish of careful, attentive winemaking.
The 2023 vintage has given this wine a particularly appealing balance – there’s freshness and lift, but also plenty of substance, the kind of Pinot that feels vibrant without being lean. Darker red fruits, fine tannins, and a savoury mineral backbone make it a wine that speaks clearly of its site. It’s approachable now with air but will be even more rewarding after a few years in the cellar.
Quantities, as always with PYCM, are minuscule, and it’s a rare opportunity to see this 1er Cru vineyard rendered in such an elegant, transparent style.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order.
