The Hautes Côtes de Beaune may sit just outside the Côte d’Or’s most famous slopes, but in Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s hands it becomes something quite special. Fruit is sourced from higher, cooler sites above Saint-Aubin, where the elevation naturally delivers freshness and lift. These vineyards often ripen a little later, and in a warm season like 2023 that balance is spot on – the heat of the year tempered by altitude, giving wines that are bright and finely detailed without losing depth.
This is crafted with the same no-shortcuts approach as PYCM’s more exalted bottlings – hand harvesting, careful pressing, wild ferments, and ageing in quality oak that adds shape without smothering the fruit. The 2023 vintage is marked by lively acidity and moderate alcohols, and here it gives a wine that’s both mouthwatering and layered, with clear terroir expression even at this so-called “entry” level.
Quantities are tiny, and demand is huge, so it’s one of those wines you need to act quickly on. For those chasing a taste of PYCM without heading into grand cru prices, this is a brilliant introduction.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order.
