Description
Ribolla Gialla might be a rarity in Australia, but it’s a grape that’s always made sense to the Quealy team. After years spent in Friuli learning from the source, they planted the first vines in Balnarring back in 2018, and this 2022 release shows exactly why they bothered – it just works here.
The fruit was picked in early April, destemmed and fermented on skins in steel for around five months, then basket-pressed and aged in old oak for a couple of years before bottling – no fining, no filtration, no rush. The result is a proper, old-school skin-contact white, built on patience and texture rather than polish.
It’s full of citrus peel, quince and spice, with a little nuttiness and grip through the finish. There’s freshness too, so it never feels heavy – just deep, savoury and seriously drinkable. If you want to know what Ribolla can do outside Friuli, this is the one to try.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order. If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
