Quealy owners Kathleen Quealy and Kevin McCarthy were pioneers of skin-contact white wines in this country. Son Tom has now taken the reigns amd is making a great fist of the style. The Turbul Friulano is one of the country's premier examples of skinsy winemaking with an Italian influence.
It's exotic and wild in flavour, but it's the texture and structure that defines this wine. In this way it shows more like a red - it's really quite powerful and grippy but delicious at the same time!
A great option for a dinner party wine to wow your friends with something different. Turbul is Friuli dialect for cloudy, to show off even more wine trivia.

Golden in colour. I’m not sure how long this spends on skins but I’d say a good amount of time. Good as in whatever they have done, it’s working. Lovely structure. Fun but serious. Fino sherry, yellow apple, some tropical fruit and a touch of honey and ginger. This is my type of skinsy white.

First tasted this wine at Bentley Bar a few years ago. It is incredible. Unique taste - very herbaceous and complements vegetable dishes beautifully. I have opened bottles of this wine when I want to surprise friends!

Hard to find but on the lists of some of Melbourne's best restaurants, this Mornington fruilano is a real delight. Excellent with food and better than many from the variety's home region, Quealy has done an excellent job to demonstrate that we can make lesser known varietals exceedingly well

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
