A fresh take on classic Margaret River Cabernet, this is Voyager showing its lighter, brighter side.
Sourced from the organically farmed vineyards of Stevens Valley, just a few kilometres from the coast, this wine is all about easy charm and coastal character. Red gravel soils and cooling ocean breezes shape a Cabernet that’s aromatic, juicy and effortlessly drinkable.
In 2021, Tim Shand and the Voyager team have dialled up the drinkability. It’s bright and buoyant with notes of mulberry, cherry and a dusting of spice. The palate is mid-weight and silky, with chocolatey tannins and just enough structure to keep it classy.
Fermented in a mix of open and static fermenters (with a splash of concrete for good measure) and matured for 7 months in mostly seasoned French oak, this is Cabernet with its feet up - no pretence, just pure Margaret River Cabernet pleasure.

"The problem with calling a wine 'coastal' is that I start daydreaming of the coast, Margaret River especially, yet any coast really. Very distracting for the task at hand, which is tasting some excellent cabernet from the coast. So, back to this thoroughly enjoyable wine full of bramble fruit and cassis dusted with mocha, nori and cooling menthol. Medium bodied with hazelnut-skin tannins, which pinch on the finish, but a rack of lamb will sort that out."

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
