About The Wine
It's all about bang for your buck with the Graffiti Chardonnay, and it's as rare as a hornless unicorn in Margaret River.
A single vineyard wine out of Wilyabrup, the whole bunches see wild yeast fermentation before ageing in French oak for a few months, coming out with some creamy malolactic elements.
Crisper and more immediately approachable than the Hutton Triptych or Reserve wines, but there is plenty of sleek quality here, with a rich citrus and stonefruit core. Delish.
About Hutton Wines
Michael Hutton was a mere six years old when his parents planted a vineyard on their cattle farm in Margaret River in 1975. If only all our parents had such foresight - they continue to own Gralyn Estate.
Michael returned to the area in 2005 and made his first wines under the new Hutton Wines label, just two barrels of Cabernet.
He continues with excellent Cabernet to this day, and, staying true to the Margaret River classic varieties, only works with one other grape, Chardonnay. And classic examples they are, from the entry level Graffiti range, through to his Triptych and Reserve wines.
