About This Wine
The antithesis of the regionally famous Vin Jaune wines of Jura, this Chardonnay Savagnin blend is more akin to Burgundy, yet with perhaps a bit more pep in its step so to speak.
This wine is all about all purity, precision, and richness, with a tastebud tantalising combination of toasty nutty richness, pristine lemon-zest, and candied citrus intensity.
The wines of Champ Divin certainly live up to their name. they really are such divine expressions of both varietal, and regional, complexity.
About Champ Divin
Proprietors Valérie and Fabrice Closset-Gaziaux, are farmers at heart, specialising in soil and earth sciences. Their first stop after studying was working on farming projects in Africa.
Returning to France, they went to the Loire to share their knowledge of Organics with the regions grape-growers.
it was in 2008, when they took over the estate of Richard Delay, in the heart of Jura, that the story of Champ Divin (Divine Field) begins.
Their 5ha of vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, and all vineyard, and winery work, is done by hand, to produce these unique regional expressions.
