The singular focus on grape variety, place and unwavering quality, is what sets the cooperative wines of the Produttori del Barbaresco wines apart.
This collaboration of small grape growers came at the encouragement of the local priest in 1958, at a time when there was no premium market for these wines. Today, the operation is headed by the irrepressible Aldo Vacca.
Now controlling almost 1/6 of Barbaresco’s vines and 9 single-vineyard bottlings, this collective of 52 families produce and some the most consistent, classic and accessibly priced expressions of Nebbiolo from this region.
