2018 Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir
Two Tonne Tasmania has a simple philosophy; small parcels, big love. The TMV Pinot Noir is meant for earlier consumption than the Dog and Wolf Pinot Noir.
It's a glimpse at the vintage for the Tamar Valley sub-region. But make no mistake, this is not your average 'entry level' Pinot Noir, this has an edge to it, a personality all of its own.
The 2018 release of the Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir is a ripper. A cracking wine with immaculate fruit and a savoury backbone - a great representation of the quality being produced by a new wave of Tasmanian winemaking rock-stars.
Stocks are limited on this release, don't hesitate.Read more about 2018 Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir
2018 Koerner La Korse Red Wine
The Koerner brothers are running head on at Clare Valley wine. They've put together one of the region's most dynamic ranges of wine, investigating unsung pockets of the area with energy and creativity. It's exciting stuff.
The La Corse is not your average Clare Valley red. Here the boys combine Sangiovese and Sciaccarello with a splash of Malbec & Grenache, to create a vibrant, mischievous red with epic drinkability.
Whole berry ferments for max vitality and ageing in ceramic egg and old oak for a pure, breezy feel.
This is a new look Clare Valley red.Read more about 2018 Koerner La Korse Red Wine
2018 Ravensworth Sangiovese
This wine from Bryan Martin has firmly ensconced itself as one of Australia's best value Sangioveses, the 2018 is an absolute ripper!
Bryan's Sangiovese has always had that nice balance between Sangiovese's natural savoury varietal character and sheer drinkability, but the 2018 shows a little lighter on its feet.
Awesome, authentic Sangiovese from one of Canberra's most exciting producers.
If you're looking for a top quality wine to take along to your little local BYO pizza place, that's just what this was made for!Read more about 2018 Ravensworth Sangiovese
2018 Tonic Wines Grenache
The same two vineyard sources combine in the 2018 release of Tonic Grenache.
The fruit is picked early precisely to maintain the beguiling floral aromatics that present in Clare Valley Grenache, in a drier vintage like 2018, this is even more important.
This is man-handled as little as possible on its way to bottle. A small amount of whole bunch in the ferment, only a gentle racking before bottling with a dash of sulphur. What you get is the very essence of Clare Grenache; brightly fruited, impossibly drinkable and more-ish to the last glass.
If you've never tried the tantalising wines styles from Tonic, or never had a lighter style of Grenache that has blown your socks off, there is no better way you could spend $30.Read more about 2018 Tonic Wines Grenache
2018 Nick Spencer Gundagai Dry Red
One of Nick Spencer's most formative experiences in wine was the 2011 Len Evans Tutorial where he had the rare opportunity to sample some of the worlds most famous wines under exam conditions.
Amongst the flights of DRC and First Growth Bordeaux, Nick says the wines that moved him most were the great old Australian red wines of the 1960s and 1970s. These were blended wines, with a house style the primary focus rather than the emphasis on regional or varietal wines which is so prevalent in Australian wine today.
The Gundagai Red is Nick's attempt to bring that old blended philosophy into the modern day. It's a wine that shows ripe blue fruit characters, a vibrant nose of violets and spice and silky decadent tannins which should see it mature nicely over the medium-long term.Read more about 2018 Nick Spencer Gundagai Dry Red
2018 Luke Lambert Syrah
The Luke Lambert Syrah is always made with a deft touch.
Luke's choice of vineyard in the South-West of the Yarra Valley (some of the coolest terrain in the region) offers him the opportunity to make a wine of unique elegance and finesse.
The continued success of this wine has cemented Luke as one of the true winemaking craftsman of his generation. Luke uses whole bunches to beautiful effect, elevating Yarra Valley Syrah to a spicy, ethereal wine with a quiet confidence.
Once again, this release is beautifully balanced, refined and pure-fruited - all the hallmarks of Luke's signature Syrah style.Read more about 2018 Luke Lambert Syrah
