Juxtaposed
Dr. Wes Pearson is a Canadian ex-pat who has made his home in Willunga McLaren Vale.
He began his wine life at a Whistler steakhouse where his night-time role in food and wine paid the way for him to hit the slopes through the day. Eventually, he was invited to intern as an oenologist at Château Léoville Las Cases in St. Julien, Bordeaux. By 2011, he had found his way to McLaren Vale where his love of surf, skate and wine, are all aptly supported. With a PhD from Charles Sturt University and a position as a Senior Sensory Scientist with the Australian Wine Research Institute, Wes has become deeply ensconced in the wine culture of the region.
Under Juxtaposed, Wes explores some of the best sites in the region, focusing on brightly-lit old vine Grenache, a little Shiraz and Fiano with a laser focus on faithfully representing the region he loves.
